Riverwood Neighborhoods

Riverwood Condominium “Carriage Homes” with 2-3 bedrooms, 2 baths and attached garage:

Willow Glen with golf course views, its own neighborhood clubhouse and pool. All this is within a few feet of the Riverwood golf clubhouse and the first tee.

Grand Vista, which as its name implies, gives you golf, lake, and preserve views. This neighborhood has its own pool with restrooms and partial outdoor kitchen.

Tarpon Harbor and Tarpon Harbor II have spectacular views of the Myakka River and easy access to the river for canoeing and kayaking.

Riverwood One story villas with 2-4 bedrooms, 2 baths, attached 2-car garage and many with individual pool:

Marlin Cove has 18 units, many with golf course or water views and full access to the Riverwood activity center.

Oyster Bay has 28 units with water views and full access to the Riverwood activity center.

Pompano Cove has 34 units, many with water views and all with full access to the Riverwood activity center.

Still Water Trace is currently under construction and will have 68 units when complete. A number of these units have water views and all will have full access to the Riverwood activity center.

The Reserve has 26 units, many with water views and all with full access to the Riverwood activity center.

Riverwod Patio Homes (96) are found in the Osprey Landing neighborhood which is located between the seventeenth and eighteenth holes of the Riverwood Golf Club. These homes (1500 – 1800 sq. ft. under air) have 2-3 bedrooms, 2 baths and an attached 2-car garage. Most have pools and water or golf views.

Riverwood Single Family Homes:

Bailey’s Pond is a neighborhood which, as its name indicates, surrounds a large pond. 53 mostly single story homes (some with golf views) have 2 or 3 bedrooms, 2 baths and an attached 2-car garage.

Bay Ridge has 48 homes with water, golf or preserve views. These mostly Mediterranean-style houses have 3 bedrooms, 2 baths and attached 2 or 3-car garage.

Clipper Cove is a group of just 13 homes, which have water and/or preserve views. These homes have 3 bedrooms, 2 baths and attached 2 car garages.

Driftwood Pointe sits between 2 lakes and a large preserve area. Its 39 homes have 3-4 bedrooms, 2-3 baths and attached 2-car garages. Swimming pools are common.

Eagle Trace, a 43 home neighborhood adjoining the 12th, 13th, 14th and 15th holes of the Riverwood Golf Course. Views include golf, water and preserve. Homes have 3-4 bedrooms, 2-3 baths and attached 2-3 car garages. Many have swimming pools.

Estuary is also located between 2 lakes and a large preserve area. The 30 homes have 3-4 bedrooms, 2-3 baths and attached 2-car garages. Swimming pools are common.

Fairway Lakes is another aptly named neighborhood with views (of course) of golf fairways and lakes. The 81 homes have 3-4 bedrooms, 2-3 baths and 2 or 3-car attached garages. Many have swimming pools.

Fishers Landing is under construction and will eventually have 21 homes with lake and preserve views. The homes will have 3-4 bedrooms, 2-3 baths, and attached 2-car garages. Some may have pools.

Lakeshore Village is nestled between the 10th and 18th holes of the Riverwood Golf course and two large lakes providing golf and water views. There are 54 homes with 3-4 bedrooms, 2-3 baths and attached 2-car garages. Some homes have swimming pools.

Redfin Shores is under construction and will eventually have 50 homes with river and preserve views. The homes will have 3-4 bedrooms, 2-3 baths, and attached 2-car garages. Some may have pools.

Royal Oaks, as the name implies, sits among stately southern “live oak” trees which have leaves year-round. Views include golf, water and preserve. 45 homes have 3-4 bedrooms, 2-3 baths and attached 2 or3-car garages. Many have swimming pools

Silver Lakes with 56 Mediterranean style homes, 3 lakes and preserve area. Over 90% of these homes have water views and more than 60% have a view of the central lake with its daily show of fish making high jumps in the water. These homes have 3-4 bedrooms, 2-3 baths and attached 2-car garages. Most have swimming pools.

Stonebridge is comprised of 61 homes that are surrounded by the 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th holes of the Riverwood Golf Course and spectacular views of tees, fairways, lakes, a stone bridge (surprise!) and greens. These homes have 3-4 bedrooms, 2 baths and attached 2-car garage.

Riverwood Estate Homes (very large single family homes designed for gracious living and entertaining):

Channel Ridge is a group of 25 homes located on Riverwood’s northern most bank of the Myakka River. They feature 4 or more bedrooms, 3 or more baths, and 2 or 3-car attached garages.

Logan’s Pointe is farther south along the Myakka and includes two lakes and 35 homes. These homes have 4 or more bedrooms, 3 or more baths, and 2 or 3-car attached garages.

River Run is set on the bank of the Myakka River, just south of Channel Ridge. When construction is complete it will include 59 homes. Its homes have 4 or more bedrooms, 3 or more baths, and 2 or 3-car attached garages.

Riverside is about mid-point in Riverwood’s Myakka River bank, features the largest 23 homes in the Riverwood community and a second privacy gate. These homes are unique and spectacular with a serene setting.

Westport Ridge is set between two lakes and is comprised of 32 homes. These homes feature 4 or more bedrooms, 3 or more baths, and 2 or 3-car attached garages.

Golf

If you are a golfer, Riverwood offers a lush, championship par 72 course at its heart that is rated by Golf Digest as 4-1/2 stars. There are leagues available for those who desire a little competition. If you prefer, you can play a relaxing round with friends or relatives in the serenity of the salt marsh, lakes and pinewoods.

Tennis

If tennis is your game, Riverwood boasts six state of the art Har-Tru surface courts. Riverwood’s tennis program is under the direction of a Professional Tennis Registry Certified Tennis Instructor, USTA Certified Official and Racquet Stringers Association Master Racquet Technician. The program includes county league teams, round robin and scramble doubles, tournaments, tennis theme parties, singles ladders and social tennis functions for all levels of play.

Croquet

Croquet you say?! There’s a championship court for croquet as well.

Bocce

Riverwood has three bocce courts and lively team competition.

Baseball

Riverwood is a bicycle ride from the sparkling new spring training facility of the Tampa Bay Rays. Come out and join in the excitement as the Rays play many of your favorite major league teams. Additionally, the same facility hosts exciting minor league games of the Ray’s High “A” affiliate, the Charlotte Stone Crabs, all summer.

Softball

Riverwood fields its own softball team that competes in the local senior league.

Fishing

Whether it’s deep sea fishing in the blue Gulf of Mexico, estuary fishing on the extensive shore line of Charlotte Harbor and neighboring islands, or fresh water fishing in the various ponds, lakes and rivers in and near Riverwood, there is plenty to keep the avid fisherman (or woman) busy.

Boating

Charlotte Harbor is the second largest harbor / estuary in Florida, but has no commercial activity, making it ideal for pleasure boats of all sizes. The harbor is also the gateway to those blue waters of the Gulf of Mexico and beyond. It is rated among the best sailing areas by popular sailing magazines and the avid sailor will find great anchorages and active sailboat racing on Charlotte Harbor.

Canoeing/Kayaking

The vast estuaries of Charlotte Harbor on which Riverwood sits provide countless hours of pleasure, adventure and discovery.

Beach

Riverwood has its own beautiful private beach right on the Gulf of Mexico with restrooms, showers, barbeque and picnic facilities. Come have an evening barbeque and watch a glorious sunset!

Pool

The Junior Olympic sized heated pool and spa at the Riverwood activity center provides a great place to bring family or relax with a good book.

Biking

Bike with the Riverwood biker’s club or set out on your own to explore the community or even go shopping or to the baseball game. There are miles of safe roads in Riverwood’s gated community on which to enjoy a leisurely pedal or brisk exercise.

Fitness Center

The fitness center at the Activity Center complex has plenty of state of the art equipment to keep you trim (if the other activities aren’t doing that already).

Monday Night Movies

Every Monday night a top recent film is shown, free of charge at the Riverwood Activity Center.
