Punta Gorda is a small city in southwest Florida. It is located on Charlotte Harbor, a peaceful estuary formed by confluence of the Peace and Myakka Rivers.
The area is well known as one of the finest sailing and fishing destinations in the country. It has been featured in sailing magazines and is the home of the annual Red Fish tournament, televised each year on cable television.
