Jim Mulligan (left) and Andy Leonard: Your Suncoast Team

Jim Mulligan

Jim Mulligan was born in New York and grew up in New England. He began his professional career as a meteorologist in the power generation industry. In the 1980's, Jim bought a small lawnmower dealership in North Carolina and within the first year became one of the top ten Honda Power Equipment dealers in the United States. Jim added motorcycles and other recreational items to the store's inventory. Over the next several years he increased sales six fold. When he sold the business it was recording gross sales of over $4 million per year.

Jim is an avid sailor. He moved to Florida after selling his North Carolina business to take advantage of the area's great sailing. He has cruised the waters of Charlotte Harbor and has found excellent anchorages near Captiva, Pine Island and Gasparilla Island. Many weekends he can be found racing an F-27 trimaran, Surrender.

Andy Leonard

Andy Leonard is from Cleveland, Ohio. He enjoyed a 32-year career in logistics and purchasing with True Value Hardware Stores. While with True Value, he managed distribution centers in Cleveland, Kansas City and Allentown. He retired as a Regional Logistics Manager responsible for eight distribution centers throughout the northeast. Andy also had a license to sell Real Estate in Illinois.

Andy and his wife, Donna, moved from Chicago to Southwest Florida because of the great climate and active lifestyle. Golf, softball and computers are some of his interests. Andy and Donna have two children and four grandchildren.

Donata Noone

Donata Noone was born in Italy and migrated with her family to New York in April 1963. Donata grew up in West New North, NJ, directly across the Hudson River from New York City.

Her work experience has given her a strong background in customer service, business management, and bookkeeping. As a licensed real estate agent with Your Suncoasteam, Donata specializes in property management. Her duties consist of managing owners' rental properties, including finding and interviewing tenants, coordinating the lease, managing maintenance of the properties, collecting rents, and distributing owners' funds.

Donata has three sons. She and her husband, Jack, moved to Port Charlotte in 2001, where they enjoy the great weather and friendly people.

Not bad for a small-town girl from Italy.

Len Levy

Len Levy is a real estate broker/associate with Suncoasteam Realty, bringing his investment and managerial skills to our company. A native of Maine, Lenny is a graduate of Bently College with a degree in Business Management. An avid skier, Lenny spent many years in the Rocky Mountains and holds a real estate broker’s license in Colorado as well.

As a real estate investor, Len Levy has considerable experience in construction trades. Lenny is active on our local Board of Realtors and is currently serving on the Professional Standards Board.

M.J. Shetron

M.J. Shetron was born in South Carolina. She began her career working in the Veteran’s Administration Hospital pharmacy system in the state capital of Columbia, then in Boise, Idaho, and Denver, Colorado. After graduating from Metropolitan State College of Denver where she majored in Computer and Management Science, she moved to Detroit, Michigan where she began her career in the temporary help industry working for a large staffing corporation as a computer software consultant.

In 1989, M.J. bought a staffing business in Albuquerque, New Mexico and after ten successful years in the business, sold it and moved to Chama, New Mexico for an early retirement with her husband John. It didn’t take long for M.J. to become restless with retirement, so after an unsolicited phone call from a CEO from Fresno, California, she accepted a franchise business consulting position with his staffing corporation.

She spent three years consulting with franchise owners in the western half of the United States, then decided to give retirement one more try but in a very unique way. M.J., along with her husband John, made the decision to live aboard their 38-foot catamaran and see the world! They began their journey in San Diego and sailed, without crew, all the way to Thailand over the last five and one-half years visiting twenty-one countries. In April of 2008, they sold their sailboat in Thailand and relocated back to the United States. She and John decided to settle in southwest Florida for the year-round warm weather and sailing opportunities.

M.J. is a pianist and loves to sing. She has performed with community theater as well as performing in the many countries she and John visited. She still loves to sail and also enjoys kayaking in the canals and on Charlotte Harbor. M.J. has two children and two grandchildren. Her grandson recently asked “Grandma, can I live with you here in Florida?”

Debra Mann

Debra Mann was born and raised in Montana. Prior to moving to Florida 10 years ago, she was a successful Advertising Executive for both CBS and ABC television stations in Bismarck, ND. When she moved to Florida, she became a Realtor® in the Tampa area and moved to Port Charlotte in 2002.

In addition to her Real Estate career, you will also find Debra playing music professionally in our area. She sings and plays keyboards and percussion instruments with her husband Cliff (who sings and plays guitar) in the duo "Anything Goes!" They play a wide variety of music, including Classic Rock, R & B, Country, Old Standards and Ballads.

As experienced sailors, Debra and Cliff have been sailing the west coast of Florida for many years now on their 32 foot sailboat, "Moondance." Debra’s knowledge of local waters makes her a great waterfront expert! Look for “Moondance” when you are boating on Charlotte Harbor or down in the Pine Island Sound. Debra would love it if you hailed her to say hello!

Bill Ogden

Bill, a native of Maryland, moved to Charlotte County, Florida in year 2000 for the same reasons we all live here: the comfortable year round weather, the beautiful Charlotte Harbor and Gulf of Mexico, and the laid-back lifestyle of the community.

Prior to moving, Bill retired from a successful career as a Major Accounts Representative at Baltimore Gas and Electric Company. In this capacity he was responsible for customer care for large industrial and commercial customers. Providing good customer service has always been a way of life for him.

In 2001, Bill became a licensed realtor in Florida and continues to utilize skills to provide good service learned in his previous career. He is an avid boater and his knowledge of local waters will enable him to help you find the prefect waterfront home.

Ted McDermott

Ted McDermott was raised in Westchester County, New York, just north of New York city. He joined IBM at the end of 1966 but within two weeks was activated by the Naval Reserve. He spent the majority of active duty in Iceland tracking Soviet movements during the Vietnam War. Upon return to IBM he had a variety of assignments in a number of different states over the following decades.

Ted and his wife, Lorraine moved to Florida in 2005 to enjoy the beautiful weather and outdoor life. They were immediately “hooked” on the Riverwood community in Port Charlotte.

An avid baseball fan, Ted was thrilled when the Tampa Bay Rays announced in 2007 that they were moving their Spring Training to Port Charlotte.

Once the Rays and their High-A minor league franchise began operations in Port Charlotte, Ted was constantly in attendance and met Jim Mulligan, Suncoasteam Realty’s broker, at the park.

Ted had been attracted to the real estate business for a long time and had just retired from IBM when he met Jim. Ted began bombarding Jim with real estate questions and, with Jim’s encouragement, obtained his real estate sales license. He is really enjoying his new career and the opportunity to tell the world about all the great deals on Riverwood residences.

In addition to many national awards, Andy and Jim were consistently top sales and listing agents in their office while agents for a Prudential Real Estate Franchise. Philosophical differences with how the franchisee treated their customers and the additional cost that franchisee customers incur, led to the formation of Suncoasteam Realty independent real estate brokerage in 2005.

Jim and Andy are proud to be members of VFW Post 5690 in Port Charlotte. We support the work the VFW does in behalf of Veterans of the Armed Forces of the United States of America.
